Descrizione

Questo pesce raggiunge i 13 centimetri di lunghezza. È giallo con macchie blu o viola sul viso. Alcuni individui hanno macchie scure sui fianchi. Vive nell'habitat esterno della barriera corallina, nelle lagune profonde e nelle aree in cui vi è una corrente oceanica. Vive tra le gorgonie , deponendo le uova su di loro, i maschi sorvegliano le uova fino alla schiusa. La loro dieta è composta da zooplancton. È solitario o vive in piccoli gruppi.

Diffusione

È originario dell'Indo-Pacifico centrale.
